Credit Search

I have been informed that a debt recovery company called Mackenzie Hall have done a credit search without my knowlage or consent so my question to all is, are they allowed to do this. I have googled them and they are a nasty company with a history of bullying clients into repaying old debts. I was declaired bankrupt in 2005 but I was wondering why they are searching my files. Any idea why. thanks

They are probably going to pursue you for some ancient, barred debt.

Ignore them or tell them to take a long walk off a short pier.

Yes, if they are looking for you then they can do this. They probably want to chase you for something, but don't worry too much, there are ways and means of getting rid of them if they're not playing fair. If you get any bother from them feel free to post again for advice.
I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)

As of the last count I have cleared
    [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt. :(
