I am thinking of getting my husband an inversion table for christmas
he is a coach driver and sometimes gets a bad back,
but im wandering if he will find this beneficial, has anyone got one of these and do they use it? or does it get left in the corner.

SUZY G ,get one you won`t regret it.I have had one for a few years now, i suffer with both neck and lower back problems.my spine gets re-aligned easily on the table, and after a few goes it does ease better than anything else out there, and i`ve tried everything. But make sure you get the Teeter make (hang -ups ) because the others are not so good on the quality side of welds etc0

Ospray thanks for the reply, I am afraid the teeter one is three or four times the price, i am sure its good quality but my budget does not run to that, suzy0

My BF suffers a lot with lower back pain but I have never heard of an inversion table .I have just googled it and am just getting pictures so can someone please explain what they are please as it would be great if I could get him something that would help.
Also is there any special one that would be better then another one ?0 -
I too suffer sometimes from lower back pain as do 3 of my sons. I also have a Bactrac ( inversion table ) which, I admit, stands in the corner most of the time.
I was sold this gadget on the principle that "bats don't suffer from bad backs" although how anyone knows this wasn't clearly explained.
Just because it doesn't work for me & mine doesn't mean it won't work for someone else but in view of the cost & bulk it would be a good idea to try it out first & don't be enthused into anything by zealots who claim miracle cures.
When you're in pain constantly you will clutch at any ray of hope & there are plenty of people out there happy to cash in on your misfortune.
Good luck.0 -
I've just remembered - sometimes it is demonstrated on QVC - probably on Heath & Fitness night - but take their claims with a large packet of Saxa.0

I used to have one and I found it very beneficial for my (permanently and annoyingly!) painful back. The only problem I had with it was its size - it's huge! My living room (the only place I had space to set it up) looked cluttered and messy the whole time I owned it. I eventually sold it after about 18 months.
I miss it, and would probably get another if I ever move to a larger house.
The only thing I will say about using it is the blood fairly rushes to your face and head, and the pressure can feel a little uncomfortable for some people (you get used to it though, and the benefits outweigh this slight discomfort).
Hope this helps!

PS I got mine quite cheaply on eBay. I shopped around at the time and the price I paid was much less than at any online retailer.0 -

Suzy - I bought one of the cheaper makes for my wifes back and she finds it very beneficial. I also use the table for a stretch out sometimes and I'm 6'3'' and over 16st so I wouldn't worry about the cheaper ones being poorer quality - they can take my bulk!0 -
