Just for interest, if you are PPR'd does MSE drop you from membership, or are you still counted as a loyal member?

Loyal member of what?
These are discussion forums, not some sort of society or club?
If people are PPR'd because they break the rules and/or disrupt the forums, then I don't think it really matters what happens to them as long as they aren't doing it any more.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

OK, I was peed off with something on MSE and went along the "they can do what they like, you can't distance yourself from the site" route
I would still like the option of "removing myself" ( numberwise, anywise) from the site but accept this is not possible. Not that I want to remove myself at the moment, I would just like the option

I'd take no notice of such suggestions nobodyspecial; no one enjoys such immunity although the cliquey factions around confer such on their friends, it simply doesn't work that way. Thankfully the team only seem to consider whether a rule is broken, no more, no less, by the looks of it.nobodyspecial wrote: »OK, I was peed off with something on MSE and went along the "they can do what they like, you can't distance yourself from the site" route

they did that to PNPSUKNET, used to like that persons advice but think he had enough of trolls and mse having a go for no reasons.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

If I was banned i'd be offended if I was still on MSE's books so to speak. It's the one thing I hate about forums- you can't escape them as most forums don't allow account deletions .
Some large forums (one in particular) do keep their banned members on the members list.
They are also renowned for banning large numbers of members at the drop of a hat.
The cynic in me tells me that they do this to encourage re registration to boost their ever increasing membership numbers.I may be cheap but I am not free////////////////////0
