Public Liability Insurance for Cake Making and Craft

Could really do with some advice on this one! I have decided to hold a few fairs over the summer, selling cakes, chutney, Jam and Craft Items, I've gone through the council who are coming to inspect my kitchen next week, I'm just not sure on the Insurance side of things? Can anyone recommend a could company to use?

can they not advise you of someone close in your area they should have a list in one of their departments

National Market Traders Federation provide membership and insurance - we have been using them for years. Cheaper insurance can be found out there, but some markets insist on NMTF membership - it costs about £90 per year for membership, which included public and employers liability insurance.

Google is your friend... just typed in "Public Liability Insurance for Cake Making" and there is a list of insurers that I'm sure can help.

The top one on the list is Ashburnham Insurance who I've got my liability insurance with. Mine is for my photography work that I do and they were very good for that.

Loads of others on google's list as well that you could try.
