Having a meal in a nice restaurant after the registry office. 3 course meal is £30 person. Three choices of menu to choose from. I find it very strange that one is sardines on toast as a starter and one of the main is duck. Not very keen on the sardines, could ask for an alternative, but I guess duck might be better than common chicken. The pub uses fresh products ad fresh fish, have to ask whether the sardines will be fresh. Any thoughts on these, anybody, thanks

Fresh sardines are amazing, I'd order them!
And we're having duck as our main.0 -
I love sardines AND duck. Depending on what the other choices are these would probably be the dishes I would choose as a guest!
What are the other choices? Is there a veggie option? (Being nosey now, more than anything!)
If you have nothing constructive to say just move along.0 -
Well, I hate sardines AND duck! But I have been known to be overly fussy.
To echo joho, what are the other choices?0 -
Duck sounds lovely! Would definitely go for that over chicken, everyone has chicken! Sardines are a little unusual but if they're fresh then they taste amazing on toast, I think you should go for it! Though some people are really picky about eating fish.0

There are other options like soup of the day etc and pasta for vegeterians and a fish dish. To be on the safe side I have told him I do not want the sardines on toast and would prefer to chicken to duck.0
