I got one from John Lewis ( own brand ) which is great - a struggle to get up and down for the loo though :rotfl:
I was also recommended one from primark which has legs to knee only £6 but didn't find it had as much control and pull in as the JL one0 -
I looked through previous threads on the forums and bought an esbelt waist cincher from shapewear.com - I have to say it was the best £38 I've ever spent as I have started wearing it under everything and feel much more confident. I had bought numerous pairs of pull up pants etc in the past but they were uncomfortable and rolled down - this sits between your bra and pants and gives you a waist.0

I'd recommend M&S. I almost live in their shapewear! I do find some things a struggle to fit in to and on occasion get the next size up but mainly as I like to wear the tops as outterware.0

Yeah M&S everytime!0

Sounds horrid, but it is really easy to see when someone has got these on - usually because of a narrowing and then bulge as the thigh is squeezed just above the knee. M&S seem to have particularly tight bands on their ones rather than having it at a similar strength of squeeze.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

spanx higher power are fabulous and don't cause any of the issues jojo mentioned- they finish quite far down the thigh and the fabric becomes less sucky-in towards the bottom of the leg. I genuinely don't think mine have every been visible and I'm really quite particular about that kind of thing!0

I'd go with M&S. Even their basic control briefs are good.0

To avoid the 'bulge' issue, get the next size up. I do this and there is no or very little bulge. I think it helps if you can try things on infront of a mirror too though and get a second opinion from someone inpartial.0
