Advice needed on redundancy

Hi,
I applied for a job a couple of weeks ago and got a phone call the next day saying someone was coming out to see me. He turned up at my house the next day and said he was from an agency, the job was a groundworker/labourer working for a transport company.
He had about 20 sheets of paper of which I read and signed, they were contracts from the agency, the company I was working for and the company who was paying me.
I asked him if it was a temporary job, he said the job will last a couple of months then after that there should be more work. However when I finished my shift today, 9 days after I started, I got told by the transport company they no longer need my services. There was another 6 workers who started with me that got told the same thing.
The thing is, I remember in the contracts I signed that the company must give at least two weeks notice to terminate the contract. I never recieved a copy of the contract.
Is there anything I can do?
