Hello,
First off, many apologies if I have posted this in the wrong section and/or if it's been posted about before.
I tried a search but still wasn't sure!

I just wanted to see if everyone was aware of the Waterstones card?
I bought some books at the weekend and was offered one so I figured I might as well.
The rewards aren't amazing - just 3p to the £1 spent but it doesn't cost anything so you may as well - especially if you buy books a lot - maybe for school/uni etc?

Anyway, I thought I'd have a quick look online and it seems you get other freebies from their site - recipe cards and chances to enter competitions.
Figured this would be right up the MSE forum's street!
Hope it helps someone else!

Oops! Just noticed, you don't even need to sign up to the scheme for the recipe cards:
(Oh I can't post a link but go to Waterstones' website, go to the card section and look at exclusive extras)

I've got one a very long time now but never used it. Not even sure which part of the house to find it! Maybe I should start searching.:D

I have the card: I use it to collect points for the countless cook books my mum hints at fir Christmas/Birthday/Mothers Day or the diary I buy at half price in the sale...it does take a while to mount up but I like that they let you take off the points in cash terms when you go to pay.

You also get the free mag "Books Quarterly" which was my main reason for joining though its hit and miss as to when it comes out and there is talk of it being discontinued so please, if you value this mag and have the card, do email to say how much you value it (if you do) or any ideas to put in it as there really is no other mag like it for free out there at the moment.
  • Only used twice over the past year. Once when I got £3 off the price for the "Egyptian Book of the Dead" exhibition of the British Museum in London. And once when i bought a book in their Christmas/New Year sale.
