Cleaning drinks bottle

Was cleaning my water bottle last night and noticed that there is a lovely black coating around the seal. It is one of those that has the push/pull opening, so gaining access is not the easiest thing in the world, suspect it will require a cotton bud to help shift.
Any suggestions on what I could use to clean it, certainly don't want to replace the bottle:(

this thread has some discussion on getting bad smells out of water bottles and general cleaning tips. I bleached mine the other day, then scrubbed with the normal dish brush, then gave a good rinse.
ill merge this later for you

lid/cap: washing up brush and hot soapy water and scrub away then rinse thoroughly and drip/air dry?
narrow neck bottle: put some crushed egg shells into the bottle, half fill with water, put your thumb over it/putcap on and give it a good shake and swoosh. the egg shells will act as scrubbing agent on the inside. I suppose you can use soapywater but that might take a bit more effort and water to rinse clean LOL if you've only used the bottle for water anyway, then I think there's no need for soap surely?0 -
Popping the cap into a solution of water with one of those denture-cleaning tablets might do the trick0
