brother (scientist) tells me he won't use his now because of research (incomplete) pointing towards sonic brushes causing arthritus.So I am a bit worried about it myself.

Hi,

Not sure if it has to be that particular model, or whether you are having second thoughts after pennypuppy mentioned arthritis, but I recently bought the Sonicare Elite HX7351/02 at Boots, half price £49.99. On their Xmas shopping evenings you may be able to get 1000 extra points on their Advantage card (worth £10) when you spend £50. So you'd have to buy something small to get over the £50.
