Welcome Finance Problem
Hi,
I've taken out a loan with Welcome in 2008 for £2500 and have made all of my repayments on time appart from 3. I missed July 08 payment but made this on 20/08/08, I missed Oct 08 of which I made part payment of £50 on 01/12/08 and I missed Jan 09 which I paid on 02/02/09. My contractual amount each month was £136.18 over 36 months of which has now come to an end. At the end of the term I still owed £86.18 from Oct 08 but they have said I owe them £283.50. I have since overpaid 2 months repayments totalling £272.36 but they state I still owe them £147.32.
I now cannot complain to the FOS as they have gone into default and the FSCS are only dealing with PPI against Welcome.
Who can I complain to now ???
Anyone point me in the right direction

They will have added late payment charges and interest for your missed/late/part payments. Ask for a statement covering the period in question. Missed or late payments will trigger a Default as you haven't kept to your contractual repayments.
Not sure anyone can help with this, best to bite the bullet, call them and ask what the settlement figure is on the day and pay over the phone. At least you'll have the satisfaction of potentially getting your PPI premium back from them!0 -
Don't think I took out the PPI with them so it looks like I'll be paying them even more over the odds
I think that they are sending me a statement anyways0
