Application form help

I am applying for senior admin position and am struggling to fill in the
application form.
For Part 7 of the form it says to read the person spec first to find out
what skills, knowledge and experience they are looking for.
The form is split into the following sections; and I have put the job
spec next to each one. And my concerns about the question!
Qualification/Education - Certificate in word and acccess, typing to rsa 1 or 2
I have this but they are then asking for my experience on this in the next section so do i just mention my qualifications here and nothing else for fear of repeating myself?
Experience - general office exp, exp of word processing software preferably word or access
Knowledge - of internet and email
Ability and Skills - commitment to equal ops, anti discriminatrory practice, ability to communicate and take responsibility of own professional development
Personal Attributes - ability to make use of supervision, work as member of a team, prioritise time and manage workloads
Miscellaneous - the only other thing mentioned on the job spec is listed under special circumstances which is an appreciation and commitment to health and safety issues....I'm assuming that I put some info about this
in the misc section.
On Part 6 we have qualifications, training and registration to profesional bodies 'relevant to post'. Well I have already mentioned my word processing and rsa exams in part 7 qualifications/education so assuming i shouldn't repeat it here? However I do have an nvq in
business and admin so should i just put this in here?
I don't think I am a member of any professional bodies so assuming leave this blank?
Minute taking is mentioned on the actual job advert but not on the person spec...I haven't got this skill but feel I should mention it so should I put this in experience?
there is no section for my hobbies and interests of which personally I feel I want to mention as I am a member of a few organisations and do volunteer work but I'm not sure where to put them!
And also it doesn't specificially ask for my education details although there is a section for education and training it states relevant to job.
Finally! It asks for 3 references for the past 2 years, I have been working in the same employment for 12.....I have 2 people that would give me very good references, but I'm struggling to find a 3rd one!
Sorry I have so many questions...I wasn't really planning on looking for a new job, found this one by chance and it sounds great but going on holiday soon so haven't got as much time as I would like to prepare my
application!
Thanks in advance :O)

I have this but they are then asking for my experience on this in the next section so do i just mention my qualifications here and nothing else for fear of repeating myself?
Just put the certificate / RSA under 'qualifications', and what specifically you have used Word and Access for under 'experience'.Experience - general office exp, exp of word processing software preferably word or access
As above.Knowledge - of internet and email
Ability and Skills - commitment to equal ops, anti discriminatrory practice, ability to communicate and take responsibility of own professional development
Personal Attributes - ability to make use of supervision, work as member of a team, prioritise time and manage workloads
Not sure what your question is here - they're clear on what they're looking for, so tell them how you meet the requirements.Miscellaneous - the only other thing mentioned on the job spec is listed under special circumstances which is an appreciation and commitment to health and safety issues....I'm assuming that I put some info about this
in the misc section.
If there's nowhere else for it, then yes.On Part 6 we have qualifications, training and registration to profesional bodies 'relevant to post'. Well I have already mentioned my word processing and rsa exams in part 7 qualifications/education so assuming i shouldn't repeat it here? However I do have an nvq in

Repeat the certificate and RSA. Yes, include NVQ.I don't think I am a member of any professional bodies so assuming leave this blank?
Yes.Minute taking is mentioned on the actual job advert but not on the person spec...I haven't got this skill but feel I should mention it so should I put this in experience?
Absolutely, just a one-liner will do.there is no section for my hobbies and interests of which personally I feel I want to mention as I am a member of a few organisations and do volunteer work but I'm not sure where to put them!
If they're not asking then they're not interested. They will have structured the form to give them the info they need.
You could, however, list your *skills* gained in your voluntary work if they meet the skills requested for the job.And also it doesn't specificially ask for my education details although there is a section for education and training it states relevant to job.
If your education is relevant, then put it in that section - that's what it's there for and why they're asking for it!!Finally! It asks for 3 references for the past 2 years, I have been working in the same employment for 12.....I have 2 people that would give me very good references, but I'm struggling to find a 3rd one!
I'm not sure what you want me to say here - I can't find a third referee for you! Can you use a personal referee, or do they have to be employment ones?

KiKi' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -
Don't forget to use the full words, not shortened down versions like "exp"Estate Agent, Web Designer & All Round Geek!0

What you need to do is scribble some notes of how you meet the requirements in the person spec.
For example, you say that there is nowhere to mention your voluntary work and membership of various oragnisations.
But, your person spec asks for the following;Ability and Skills - commitment to equal ops, anti discriminatrory practice, ability to communicate and take responsibility of own professional development
Personal Attributes - ability to make use of supervision, work as member of a team, prioritise time and manage workloads
So... you can clearly demonstrate commitement to professional development, and managing workloads by mentioning that you use your free time to take part in these activites. Your are improving your skills and experience on your own initiative, and you are balancing this with your current job.
Also, this is probably a terrible generalisation but I tend to automatically associate 'volunteer work' with 'charity' - do any of the places you volunteer for have anything to do with equallity or discrimination - that would be great way to show that you are sensitive to diversity.
Hope this makes sense - you need to use this space to eloborate of what you have already listed.
In terms of certificates, I would certianly mention them again, but put them in context with your experience, ie, 'Having done this role for several years, I have a strong command of Word and various Office programmes, which is backed up my RSa qualifications etc' (that's a bit vague but you get the idea)!0
