It sounds like DH spends very little time with the family. As you both have paid work to do, could he not do the evening *shift* of childcare whilst you work in his office, because it sounds like you're trying to do everything in the home as well as trying to run a business.0

this is EXACTLY what me and DH have been arguing about...
in the early evening if he is not working back in his office he often goes off to do his sports leaving me to do childcare, and everything else....
At the moment he is the only person bringing money in as my work is new - i am setting up a business with other farmers / food producers - but at the moment no money is coming in from it - it is like any new business it will take time for it to get going....
BUT at the moment i don't feel DH is giving me enough support as he is not seeing hard cash coming in from my work..
and if my business does take off i will need him to take on more about the house / childcare - which he is not used too as i have been at home for the past 7 years doing it all...
DH says we can rejig how we work when i start bringing money in -we will probably use after school and breakfast club a couple of times a week - but i feel that unless i really get time to focus on the business NOW in the early stages - then it will all go wrong and it will not bring money in - and then DH say "i told you so"..
sorry feeling a big negative at the moment as DH just told me he is going out with a mate for a drink after work at 5.30:mad: - although he says he will be back about 8pm as his mate has to go home to babysit as his wife is off out...
aghghgh - sorry for venting
before kids i was the major earner in a senior manager job in education - and DH spent many years earning very little - but since having kids and staying at home for 7years DH seems to have turned into a Male chauvenist pig

Oh poor artichoke! Could you take yourself off to the library a couple of evenings a week, between 5:30 and 8:00 in order to get some work done there? The good thing about a library is that even if you do see people you know it's not easy for them to stop for a chat.... shhhhh
Hope today is better. Whatever0
