Chicken Giblets

This was an old question on this site.
Where have they gone?
I too would like to know as my gravy does not have he same full flavour without them.
I sent an e mail to Sainsbury's, they rang me yesterday to enquire if I had problems getting chickens with giblets at other supermarkets-I said 'yes', she replied, well thank you for bringing this to our attention I will pass it on to our marketing dept who I am sure will take this on board.!
I told her that I was not the only one who is wanting to know what happens to the giblets as I am a member of MSE and questions have been asked on the forums.
I await with baited breath that we may get the giblets back into the chickens at Sainsbury's at least!
You live..You learn.:)

I suspect that for every Old Styler asking this question, the supermarkets get 10 people doing this _pale_ when they see giblets, so they chuck them. Fewer complaints that way :)

Why not buy your meat from a butcher - better quality and more chance of getting giblets :T
