or not having a valid direct debit set up may breach the terms on the loan which would be an automatic default.
or if the the loan and account are linked a default on one may be a default on the lot
Regarding the loan, we have never missed a payment in the 3 years it has been in place.
The loan is currently paid for by standing order from the RBS bank account. RBS advised me this morning, i can pay this by standing order from another bank, or by debit card.
The loan and bank account are seperate agreements. I am sending a CCA agreement for both just to be sure.
Thanks0 -

in that case they shouldn't be able to default you on the loan as long as you keep up payments
the lady on the phone must have been fibbing about the default or thought the accounts were linked.
if they were separate agreements then they can't default one because of a default on another
good news then0 -
yes. but if they aren't going to be able to pay it then a default is inevitable.
I understand what you are saying nottoolate and I agree with that but OP says she has never missed a payment but they are still threatening to default it.Hi, i've just spoken to them and they are going to default me for the overdraft unless i can repay the full amount on demand ... i'm really upset that my loan is also being lumped into this as it's up to date. How can they default me on a loan that isn't in arrears.
The Lady on the phone refused to help in anyway and was actually quite rude. It's lovely being spoken to like i am an idiot0 -

whic if the account and loan had been linked in some way could well have been legitimate to do
the posts towards the start of the thread gave the impression that might be the case. unless i misread them
it turns out that they aren't linked so any threat is out of order0 -

I read as being two separate accounts not linked. Shows how easy it is to misinterpret something though.0 -

not a row. or an argument. just a discussion over the points raised in the thread.0

lol ... my comment was meant to be light humour ... I hope nottoolate saw that.
It is a fact that it is very difficult to read between the lines on any forum platform and one thing I have noticed in the very short time on here is that everyone, with only one exception so far, is very tolerant of opinions.0
