When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:T

Goooood morning lovely people - how is everyone today?:D
Nice early start for me - feeling full of oomph and motivation, hooray:j
Lovely to see Mogchops back again yesterday - hope you are posting again today young lady;)
So - welcome to any new posters...and if you're lurking, come on and post a list with us!

Ok, here's my list:
  • check banking
  • check onepoll
  • packed lunch for dd2 and myself
  • meal from plan tonight - jacket pots and chicken
  • heating off during the day then on low later, if needed
  • do next week's meal plan
  • email OU about possibly transfreeing my credits to them then finish my degree with them
  • withdraw ebay sales money from Paypal
  • Uni work
Ok, that's about all I can think of for now - have a fab day:A

    Hi everyone

    Me:
    • Brekkie at home
    • Leftovers for lunch
    • Not going out just cos it's St P's!
    • Yoga tonight - pay in block so it's cheaper
    • Refillable water bottle
    • Found bus reservation :T
    • Keep £1 for comic relief collection at work and remember how lucky I am :o
    • Walking in shape ups
    • Try not to get too down about the pittance I may sell the flat for or the debt I may get into when I do it :(
    • Free cuppa x 2 or 3 - may well be one of those days
    • Go to boots for nail polish remover and not buy anything else... Yay, just found 1 last nail polish remover pad in the bottom of my stash - just won't wear nail polish until after payday now :T
    • Entered comps
    • Check onepoll
    • Used freebie moisturiser
    xxx
  • Good morning fellow DFW people and thanks to pixie for starting the thread. Just nipping on quickly whilst DH makes breakfast ;)

    So far I have:
    • checked banking - better than I thought
    • checked for surveys
    • made lunch for work
    • fed and watered the chickens
    I will also:
    • have porridge for breakfast to fill me up (been getting really hungry at work during the day)
    • do overtime before and after work
    • do a half hour walk at lunchtime
    • read during the other half hour
    • dinner from stores - left over chicken in something, curry?
    • cut out corset belt sample tonight
    • not spend all evening on the laptop :o
    • have an NSD
I spoke to one of the other partners yesterday abut the overtime rate and he authorised me to claim 1 1/4 rate. As I do payroll, I'll just pay it and see what happens. I think he'll fight my corner though :D:D

    Catch up later, stitchy x
