Need help over new contract....

At work we are being forced into signing new contracts and those of us that dont are being told theres no work for us and so will be out of a job. Im happy to sign a new contract but there saying we must pay £20 each week out of our wages for future tool breakages, loss of equipment, damage to vehicles etc. I've worked for the company for almost 5 years and have never in that time caused any financial loss to the company in any way so dont deam this to be fair or reasonable in any way. At the moment it works out that if you damage things then you pay to replace them which we are happy to do but to pay out money i will probably never have to claim against and then not get it back just seems unlawful, the way it stands at the moment is that if i dont agree to this then i will be out of a job, can anyone give me advice on where i stand with this ?? Thanks...
