CD's DVD's (check musicmagpie.co.uk also)
Clothes, people may be buying stuff for summer now
Smellies! Even half bottles of things sell
Old books, magazines even sometimes..
Pretty much everything and anything, check on completed listing how much things have sold for...
Always good to wait for a free listing day, Martin usually lets everyone know when they are! Hope this helps.0 -

It isn't Martin that lets us know it is usually one of the very nice regular posters on the ebay board.!

You could try something online too, do you have any subjects you're particularly knowledgable in? You could write an eBook and tell everyone you're a published author, that's a less common approach

Have you searched the board, there are thousands of ideas to make more money.
Are you thinking about party plan or catalogues like the 2 examples?
I think that you need to read through a lot of the posts, as in several pages & you'll probably find all the info you're after.0 -
As you are new to selling, I would just recommend selling things around your house that you do not need / want.
Firstly, it will give you an idea of what sells well for you without worrying about making a loss. It is currently sitting in your house making you £0, even if you sell it for £1 then that is £1 profit.
Secondly, you do not need to register with the tax man if you are selling your own items as opposed to buying things with the intention of selling them.
At the moment, I am moving into my Grandparents old house so I am selling a lot of vintage clothes, shoes and accessories. They are selling quite well at the moment due to the "vintage" trend at the moment.0 -
I found a bundle of elasticated hair bands and a few hair slides. I didn't think I'd have a hope in hell of selling them but sure enough they sold on ebay. I'm currently looking at my shoe collection. I don't need all of those shoes so I'll have a go at selling them. I've also sold quite a few greetings cards. I bought them as a job lot and they are selling individually for more than double the price I paid for them. This weekend I'm hoping to rake around a car boot sale or two and see if I can pick up a job lot of jewellery or something similar. If you list things at a starting price of 99p and don't add any frills such as fancy templates or loads of photos you don't have to pay a listing fee. If the item doesn't sell you don't have to pay anything. Good luck.Don't mess with pensioners. :cool:0
