Yes, there was a golddigger GF in the offing, claiming that she was fine camping through gritted teeth. Refusing to cut up her lifeline to the good life- ie his credit card.

that saving of 600 from not taking the lovely bird on hols, was patently ridiculous. I shouted too at the telly at this point. What a crock of 5 hit.

Another curious thing was that he only managed to get less than a hundred quid off ebay, there really wasnt anything to sell  I didnt understand this, I almost make that a month with my very limited and dwindling stocks, a few books here and there and about 30 on ebay.

again, I only watched it to slag it off- I think theyd barely got through the credits before I started ranting.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
  • Not seen it but it is hot topic at work! I used to be a vacous 20 something! Thats how i ended up in a mess with a DMP, renting and still trying to pay off my debts. They need to show shows like this but actually show practical ways to reduce the debts...dont drive an Audi TT, flog the BMW! Actually show them reduce the debt not just how to not add to it!! My debts ruined my last relationship even though he knew from start...i am now paranoid that new guy will dump me if we get to serious stage and have to tell. Working on being Debt Free as quickly as possible thanks to this site!

I like Alvin Hall too...watch his show on Beeb 2 a few times and he had practical advice.
  • It was utter rubbish, he hadn't saved any money or reduced his debt all he had done was not spend more. Martin where are you we need more reasoned, sensible and real help.

I was suprised that an Audi TT only costs £14k. I think when i'm debt free and reckless, i'll get one of those babies and zoom around my grounds in Olney.

I quite admired him actually - I wish I was as happy and care free about my debts as he was......

Having said that, it did make me worry a bit less as he was the same age as me but with debts more than double mine. :)

    me too.

    I prefer Alvin's show.

Glad the series has finished and I wonder what financial situation there'll all be in this time next year.
