Extra Tesco clubcard points from the till

When I went to Tesco today and paid for my shopping the checkout girl gave me two extra receipts from the till. One was for 50 extra clubcard points when you buy some valentines chocolate and the other was extra 200 points when you spend £25. I've not had these before. Is this a new thing or is it just because I've reached a certain level on my card? I've only been using my card regularly since December.

Did you pay with cash or by card as I've noticed that whenever I pay with cash I get the extra vouchers but when I pay with my card I don't. I'm guessing you meant the printed out vouchers that come with your receipt?0

Yes the ones that come with your receipt, but I paid by debit card!“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

Always get something or other. Half the time its money off something that I dont want. and every so often I get 200 extra points if a certain amount is spent - eg £10 on shoes.0

i work at tesco's, it seems to be random to me lol
sometimes people get them some times they dont, i think its mostly for people who spend say £50+ a week on shopping to entice them to stay with tesco's0 -
I always seem to get them & always pay by card, mostly for something useless like an extra 100 points for spending £7 at the deli counter but the ones for money off petrol are great!!!Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p
In England we have Mothering Sunday & Father Christmas, Mothers day & Santa Clause are American merchandising tricks:mad: Demonstrate pride in your heirtage by getting it right please people!0 -
Used to get them every time (favourite one was spend £2+ on toys, get £2 off!). Haven't had any for a couple of weeks. I always keep them, even if I don't regularly buy the stuff as occasionally I'll find something that's been reduced which I can use one with.
I do little and often shops, rarely spend over £30. Always interesting to see what they're trying to tempt me with though!0
