Just a quick one.
I am having a nightmare with the above at the moment trying to get a CCA for a loan I defaulted on at the Co-op (yeah I know!!)
After 2 letters and no reply, they are now saying that I need to send a postal order for £2.
Is that Legal

If I had discovered MSE this time last year I may not be going down the road to BR

For a copy of the CCA the fee they can charge is £1. Assuming this was just one loan and one CCA then £2 is too much.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0

Is there just one debt/agreement here?
The statutory fee for requesting a copy agreement and statement of account under s77-9 CCA is £1.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Make sure that you send a letter with the £1.00 payment stating that the money IS NOT to be used as a payment towards the debt. And don't send a cheque or anything with a signature!"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0

Absolutely. Send that letter recorded delivery also - DCAs have an annoying and strangely convenient habit of never receiving them.
Also, if they're asking for £2 to fulfil a CCA request, refer a complaint to the OFT, Consumer Direct, and the Financial Ombudsman Service - the most they can ask for is £1. It might only be a difference of £1, but it's the principle of the matter.0 -
Dont send the £2
£1 will be for the CCA and the other will be to pay towards the loan, probably so they can reset the clock and continue harrassing you.I all have learnt is from others on many sites.
Seek legal help if unsure.
Dont pay Private Parking tickets - they are mere invoices.
