Short Term Loan Options

Hi All,

I've got myself into a bit of a pickle and not sure on the options.

I have bought a new car, well to be correct I have placed a deposit with a private seller and due to pick the car up on Saturday morning, all fine there.

The problem is that I had planned to sell some shares to finance the purchase and just naturally thought I'd receive cash into my account the same day, wrong I have to wait until Monday (assuming I sell them today Wednesday), scholboy error I know. So, normally I'd call the seller and apologise and arrange to pick up Monday evening, trouble is I already know he is off to Portugal on Sunday for 2 weeks and I can't really be without a car for that long.

Now, aside from advise along the lines of "buy a different car" etc, I am wondering what my options are for finding a short term loan to be able to get the car I have put the deposit on, any ideas guys? Its' £4,500 by the way.

Cheers

Do you have proof that the money is coming and if so, is it being paid direct to a bank? If so, might be worth asking them for a temp overdraft?

Good thinking, I am waiting for a call back from my bank manager, although to be honest these days unless you have a business account they dont tend to be that flexible with these things. Still, you never know and i'll give that a go....if he calls me back!
