Third Party Debt Order (Garnishee Order)

Has anybody been on the recieving end of this or even issued a garnishee order against someone in depth to you?

I want to know how effective a garnishee order can be. This is where the debtors bank accounts are freezed and the court then decides whether to take out your money and transfer it to the deb claimaint's account. Ofcourse, the order requires a judgement in the debt claimaint's favour.
