not sure if this is a scam

Hi. When i returned home today from work i had a message on my answering machine from DELTA PROMOTIONS saying they had a message for me and could i ring 08712409000 to hear the message as they had been trying to contact me.
I was a bit cautious so have called this number on my old mobile which had a few quids worth of credit left on it because i thought if it is a scam at least i wont get charged loads on my home phone.
When i called the above number there was a recorder message saying that as i had answered some consumer questions a while ago my household had been chosen to win a cash price of anything between £500-£2000 and that all i had to do was ring 09066333886 to claim the money.
I havnt rang the number as i am certain this is a scam but i wanted to know what you all think or if you had had any dealings with the company.
I have been entering competiitions like mad recently and have filled out loads of surveys ect so i cant say if i did or did not answer any for this company.
any advice would be really helpful.
Ps so sorry if this post is in the wrong place, please feel free to move it if it is.

Why would you need to ring them if you have won something?
Surely they would get in touch with you.

I think the 09 numbers tend to be about £1.50 a minute and tend to last for at least a tenners worth! If you obey all the rules...you miss all the fun!! Katherine Hepburn0
