  • Your bank would be the best place to start.

Have you got defaults on your credit file from previously?
If so this may affect your chances of getting credit, and a reasonable rate anyway.

    Simply put, they don't exist.

And don't be tempted with any communications from brokers promising guaranteedloans etc. You'll just be £70 out of pocket if you do

I suppose it's none of my business, so feel free to ignore me, but having paid off £30,000 debt (well done, you ), why are you so keen to start the cycle again?

If you can clear 30k in 2 years you should be able to save 7.5k in 6 months. I doubt you will find anything out there to be honest bad credit loans that actually exist seem to come in 2 flavours 1. Guarantor loans, 2. Secured loans. Everything else pretty much some to be "loan brokers" who take a fee and then don't provide anything. If you can actually find a "bad credit" loan company you will be able to answer half the posts on this part of the forum.

I was just about to ask the same question.

It really depends on what you mean by a bad credit history.

If you have defaults etc then you won't find a loan. If you just have a couple of missed payments several years ago then maybe there are places that would accept you. But you need to explain what is currently on your credit files.
