Employer Ceased Trading & Assets Frozen - Pay?

Hi!
Totally new one on me, but I got an eMail on Monday evening from our company director confirming that the company has ceased trading and assets have been frozen.
The email confirms that "my presence is not required in the office at present" and that they or their appointed representatives will be in touch "with the next steps".
Two questions:
1. Am I to be considered unemployed?
2. What should I be doing in regard to chasing my salary?
Thankfully I, the same evening, had an email from a head hunter and I have a short IT contract to tide me over for a few weeks so that side is OK,
But I'm not sure what I should do in regard to this one.
Any ideas? I'd like my final pay & P45 sooner rather than later with these guys if they've ceased trading and had their assets frozen.

1) Sadly, not.
2) Sit and wait to see if administrators are called in. Worst case scenario is you end up claiming redundancy off the govt scheme.
I'd not be concerned about the P45 for a new job as you can complete a P46. I would be concerned about salary AND redundancy pay.0 -
When the company i worked for went bust, we all recieved paperwork from the reciever to claim wages, holiday pay and redundancy from the ni fund. We recieved the money for these about 7 weeks later, we were told to sign on as soon as possible as well. If the recievers are called in, then you should be fine.0

Thanks for your replies.
So for me to continue claiming working tax credits is fine, on the basis that I'm still technically employed 25 hours a week even if I'm not working them? Same goes for Housing benefit?
Would I still be eligible for the government funded redundancy scheme if I've found a spat of work in the mean time, i.e. I have a two week IT contract starting Monday but naff all out there when that finishes... ?
Thanks for your help and advice so far, this is all new to me
