Tax issue!

Hi wondering if anyone has advice?
I worked part time for a doctor surgery last year, I was taxed whilst I was there, and paid about £230 in tax, I then moved to a full time job somewhere else, and was taxed as having a second job because I didnt have a P45, I asked the doctors for one and eventually they sent it through, stupidly I didnt look at it, just gave it to my accounts department so they could put me on the right code, BUT, I have realised whilst looking at my copy of the P45 that they have not put down the tax I paid, now I have spoken to them and despite sending them copies of my payslips to prove I paid the money they are refusing to issue a new P45, or even a P60, what can I do? as £230 is a lot of money to me, can I go to the tax office or put it on my tax return? (I used to be self employed) Any help would be much appreciated.

Phone the tax office and explain what has happened. They will sort it out for you.0
