Here's a tip that can save you at 50% or more of the cost of any fizzy drink - just dilute it half-and-half with the cheapest fizzy mineral water that you can find. Many fizzy drinks are so strongly flavoured that you may not even notice the difference.

I've been making fake appletizer with half apple juice, half sparkling water (about 12p for a 2ltr bottle) and it's lovely.

Have also just added sparkling water to squash (using it to dilute the squash instead of regular water) and it's like those sparkling flavoured waters you can get - lovely.

Interesting idea to add it to fizzy drinks though, I'll have a go.
