Our beloved founders Ben and Jerry had their first Free Cone Day, where they gave free scoops to their local community, way back in 1978 and they've done it every year since.
To celebrate Free Cone Day this year, they’ll be giving away free scoops across the UK on the 12th April from 6-9pm (3-9pm in Leicester Square scoop shops).
I miss this every year, this year should be an exception!

For a list of participating Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops, please visit our website.
Participating Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops will be serving free scoops of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream between the hours of 18:00–21:00 only, except in Scoop Shops in Leicester Square, where ice cream will be served between the hours of 15:00–21:00 only. All members of the public are entitled to one free scoop of ice cream at any one time but can repeatedly join the queue and get subsequent scoops of free ice cream

I would go..... but it would cost me £5.30 for a return train ticket to Brighton and a long walk just to get a free scoop - I can get a whole pot and still have money left over.Thought for the day: each generation of mankind tends to hug the illusion of having reached the culmination of human achievement. For any one in London or Manchester if you will be stuck in an office or at work then go to B+Js facebook page and you can apply for a van to bring you and your collegues free ice cream at work.
