Help me Debt Collector just knocked on my door.

If he asked for you by name, and then identified himself as a debt collector, I'd also be making a complaint to the Data Protection Officer. I'm pretty sure they have a duty to treat such things with a degree of confidentiality, and the implications he's making by identifying himself to your partner as a debt collector could well be in breach of the DPA.

Funny you should mention that Timbstoke. I have just read the Office of Fair Trading guidelines and they have breached about 6 of them! Muppets!

So i am clear now that the way forward for me now is to do nothing until they produce CCA. I Knew that anyway but needed you all to tell me again because these people don't half twist things

I have also written another strongly worded letter telling them that they have broken office of fair trading guidelines etc

Feel soooooooooo much better today:T
