:jmy current mortgage is £95000 on nationwide 2.5% bmr. For the past 6 months I have overpaid the regular amount of £497 up to £700 month by regular payment.

I was going to put my full isa allowance away for this next financial year but have decided to increase mortgage payment to £1000 month from next month (I find this sum scarey, seems like a huge amount) and save £125 into an isa as well to build up some emergency savings. I am also saving into a regular saver £250 month for xmas/car maintenance and credit card 0% when they end april and sept 2012.

I really do want to get this mortgage cleared and will check the calculator to see how soon it will be possible to clear it. I think the calculator states around 8years. I will throw all extra monies at this and topping up isa.

Really am a converted grabbit now buyer but really want to get all the debts cleared and have hardly any direct debits. I hate direct debits.
