Changing name on deeds...

Hi,
Could someone please help, i have a joint mortgage along with my mother, the mortgage is small and we have agreed for personal reasons to take my name of the mortgage and deeds and just leave my mums name on it. I have been quoted £600 by the solicitor we used originally to buy the house. Is this normal or dear? I have no idea and any help would be appreciated.

Seems expensive. Hit the phone and shop around. Try a couple of towns away to see if the cost differs when you don't use a local firm.I am a mortgage broker.
