Short term contract and interviews?

An agency phoned me today about a vacancy for 3 weeks that she would like me to fill (she says it could be extended but no guarantee) & at the end said she will send my CV to the manager and get back to me
I'd like to do it - however I have applied for some other jobs (which start later in the year so even if this gets extended a bit it won't conflict)
One of them have invited me to an interview the week after next
The other has some dates listed when they will be interviewing - not sure if they will call me yet though
all of these interview dates fall within those 3 weeks & I'd like to go to them
how to approach it?
should I just say I have some interviews (and hope that the boss understands that as it is just a short term contract that I am obviously going to keep looking for other work - I'd be happy to make up those days at the end of the term - It seems it is mostly computerising some old records so I don't think it is too urgent)
or should I just say that I have certain unspecified commitments already booked on certain days that I can't change?

I would let them know beforehand that the interviews were arranged before you was offered the job and if they wish you to make the time up you will do. Be honest with them, that will be better for you, let them know that you wish to attend them as you were only led to believe this vacancy was for 3 weeks only so obviously you need to apply for as many jobs as possible. Say that if you was offered a job you will finish your 3 weeks before you start the new one if that was possible. Good luck with your interviews.0

If you can be flexible about your start and finish times (and perhaps only take 45 minutes for lunch instead of 60), it would be better to make up the hours during the original timeframe rather than increasing the number of days taken.0
