My local Asda (Boldon) have Chateauneuf du Pape (75cl) on offer, reduced from £13.98 to £6 a bottle. However, if you buy 6 bottles or more you get a further 10% off, making it £5.40 a bottle.
They also have Champagne (75cl) reduced from £21.98 to £10 a bottle, as well as loads more wines half price or less.
Hopefully it is a national offer.

Just rang Asda and enquired about their "10% off for 6 bottles or more" offer and you're right, the offer has now ended. Thanks for the info, real1314.
So the CNDP (Cuvee Julienne) is back up to £6/bottle. Still a good price though.
There's a voucher on HotUKdeals for £10 off a minimum £35 spend at Asda online. I noticed the CNDP and the Champagne (Paul Deltours) is the same price online, as well as many other half price wines. Maybe the voucher could be used to get a further £10 off?
Here's the voucher link:

I don't profess to say my Dad has good taste but this is my Dad's favourite wine so I might get him some for Crimbo:beer:0

I would say that this is fairly 'drinkable' - i don't drink wine myself, but i used to work in a function suite of a posh hotel and this was always a good seller - they sell it for about £15 a bottle.
