    I think if it were me Id submit a different set of holiday requests each week. After 3 reasonable requests and with no 'business need' valid explanation Id put a grievance in.

    Although many teams informally decide that those with kids try to get the school holidays covered, parents cannot get treated preferentially....

    There is actually a grievance going on at my work at the moment where a Manager hadnt authorised one particular employees holidays on more than 3 occasions. She has put in the grievance for a variety of reasons but this is one of them. The Manager has said he will have to check his records as to why he didnt agree them; but to be honest I dont think there is going to be a valid excuse..... he doesnt like her and IMO he was being ackward because he can.
