Removing name from mortgage

Hi guys i'm looking for some advice on how to go about this.

I bought a new house in Dec 09 with my partner, in Aug 10 she left me. Ive been paying the mortgage & everything myself since then.

I need to get her name removed from the deeds.

What do I need to do?

Reason for which ive waited 6 months was for my income to go up as I finished an approvership with the company I work for, which has saw my income increase from 20kpa to 50kpa.

The house was valued at 152k in Dec 09 & loan is currently around 120k.

My ex has quite rightly stated she wants nothing from me as it was a sale of my previous property which funded this one.

Any help appreciated.

Also roughly how much will it cost?

    1. Contact your lender and tell them you need to do a transfer of equity to remove your partner.

    2. Find a solicitor to handle it for you.

Cost, around £300 unless you remortgage at the same time and can cut it to £150 + VAT as part of a lender's fee-free deal. ;)
