Pamper Days in Hilton Templepatrick

I was going to surprise my wife and daughter with a Pamper Day at the Hilton in Templepatrick. It is advertised in Argos under their activity days, priced at £79.99 for two.

I rang the Hilton to make sure they were aware of it before I booked and their response was that these were nationally arranged promotions and that their own promotion costing £60.00 each per day were better. I could not see any difference in the contents of the two respective packages except the one sold directly by the Hilton had a light lunch included. Hardly worth the £40 difference.

Has anyone here had experience of the Pamper Day at the Hilton, or experience of any other Hotel offering a similar deal. I live in Bangor so anything further than the greater Belfast area would be too far.

Hi,
We always buy our mothers a spa day package for Christmas. We've used the Hilton a couple of times and it seemed to go down well.

Previously used Boots for gift experiences, this year we ordered via http://www.funday.com/step2_activity.aspx?webcat=Pamper&pathcode=WebCat&Sub=Spa%20Days and went through quidco for cashback as well.

Local salons will do the same deals and they are much cheaper than the Hilton. Ring around and see what they say, tell them you want to organise a pamper day and they may even be able to give you vouchers so the girls can pick their treatments on the day rather than going with a standard offer.

I bought the exact same thing for my wife for her birthday as did her best friend's husband so they could have the spa day together - the day being 2 weeks ago.

Wife's friend was running slightly late - wife told she could not wait for her and had to carry on. Her friend was 10 minutes late for appointment and was refused her treatment. My wife's treatment did not last as long as it should have done and she went back to reception to wait on her friend, being led to believe that she was having her treatment. An hour later was told her friend had left after arriving late.

Basically it was a distaster and the attitude of the staff was unbelievably poor.
