Eating in shifts

Can anyone suggest some meals that I can cook in the following situation?
I get home with kids at 4, they both need to have eaten before we leave for cubs at 5.15. I get back from dropping off at cubs at 5.45, my DH and I then eat before he picks up DS (leaving at 6.30 arriving home at 7pm) I then go out as they arrive home! It basically needs to be
a)quick and easy
b) able to be reheated easily
c) soft and easy to eat as DS2 has lost all his front teeth!
d) filling - DS1 is always starving and eats constantly. I had hoped that he would be happy with a sandwich or cheese on toast type meal as he has a cooked lunch at school. However school meals are not enough for him at the moment and they don't do seconds  so he comes home starving
DS2 is generally a bit picky at the moment, he loves his veg but doesn't like stews or chinese. Neither of them likes "kids" food so no fishfingers, chips or chicken nuggets which is what their friends all eat. I seem to spend the whole evening cooking and telling the kids to hurry up. We normally all eat together when my husband comes home from work so I'm not used to cooking seperate meals. Please help!

If this is just one evening a week I would do some batch cooking at the weekend and freeze individual portions to suit - how about bolognaise sauce, hm pies, pizza, chilli or curry?
even mashed potato can be frozen and reheats fine - I use an ice cream scoop and then flatten so I have 'discs' of mash, I open freeze them on a tray and bag them up when frozen.
... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

slow cooker meals are great when i have to take dc's to various activities. I usually put it on at lunchtime and then dish it up at times to suit everyone left on warm.LBM Aug 10  [STRIKE]15,995.86 [/STRIKE]:eek:12,750.49
