Bookgiant offers - loophole?!

I got the usual promotion email from bookgiant (formerly BOL) saying half price offers plus free p&p - which is good anyway. However when i went to their homepage (http://www.bookgiant.co.uk/) I found something odd.
Some books in the half price offer on the homepage are what it says - half price. However if you then do a SEARCH for the book and click on the link in the search results the books are cheaper, however some are more expensive! Some examples :
Peter Kay the sound of Laughter.......half price=£9.49 - SEARCH price=£7.50!
Dr WHo Inside the Tardis.................half price=£7.49 - SEARCH price=£6.00!
Cook with Jamie.............................half price=£12.99 - SEARCH price=£15.99
Starring Tracy Beaker.....................Top seller price=£6.50 - SEARCH price=£4.99 (thanks, bedshaped!)
Jeremy Clarkson And Another Thing...half price=£9.49 - SEARCH price=£8.00 (thanks, bella4uk)
Pirates of the Carribean visual guide..half price £6.49 - SEARCH price £9.99
Worth having a browse around if you're buying a popular book this christmas - I just ordered Peter Kay from Smiths as it was cheaper ordering online than buying in the store. Now Bookgiant has it even cheaper! Tsk.
Hope it helps someone!

Starring Tracy Beaker also comes up as £6.50 if you go to the weekly top sellers section but when you search for it and add to basket the price is £4.99.0

I wonder who looks after that website tut tut.0

Yes I noticed this too...see my peter Kay & jeremy clarkson books thread earlier today....so add Jeremy to your list...
But BOL always used to be 60% off the top sellers, I don't know why they changed it.
Also free p+p at the moment, normally need to buy 3 books..
Be prepared to wait they are very slow....0 -
ahh thanks bella4uk - didn't spot your post - will add it into the combined thread.
Yes they are slow - in most aspects - but cheap

If they are the company formerly known as BOL then I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole!!
I ordered a book about a year ago and it was delivered with the corners damaged, I sent it back and got another one which was also damaged... repeat about 10 times and in the end I just had to accept it with damaged corners or else I would still be sending them back today....

I've had no problems with the condition of books0

I found Bol really good.0

The t & c s seem to suggest you get charged another £1 on your first order0

I ordered from them last night. If you know anyone who was a fan of The Godfather books/films, didn't realise there was a new book so ordered it:
