Do I now have a CCJ????

Hi there, I hope somebody out there can answer my question!

I have today received a claim form from Nothampton CC regarding an outstanding bill to Anglian Water.

I do not dispute the bill and I should NEVER have let it go this far - I had budgeted to pay in full at the end of the month anyway therefore I am able to settle within the 14 days stated on the claim.

Will I still be issued with a CCJ even though I am paying in full within the time scale declared?

The paperwork is very confusing! Do any of you lovely DFWs have any advice for me?

  • Best thing is to give them a call and explain you can pay it before there cut off so they don't start the paperwork for a CCJ and they can make a note on your account you will be paying before the deadline.

    Good luck
  • as long as the debt is paid within 1 month of the claim it will not result in a CCJ
