Thanks all some extra idea's so should spice up meals a bit at least

picked up some cougette for cheap at Tesco so tommorow is tuna, cougette pasta but will look for ingredients for them asap

Sorry should have just said that Chinese spice for me is usually just chilli and five spice normally as I like the five spice flavour as is a bit different to usual flavours :) sometimes stick lemongrass or other things although that is more thai I guess !

    She? ;)

    Thanks anyway :D

    Oops sorry!

(I'm guessing now that you are male - or were you just querying my assumptions?)
  • How about meals using sausages?
Sausage stew, sausages sliced with pasta, peppers, onions and mushrooms in a tomato and garlic sauce.

Risotto is quick and cheap depending on ingredients our fave is mushroom and garlic or try using leftovers in a risotto.

HM soup is cheap and filling

Pancakes filled with savoury fillings such as chicken and sweetcorn ( Meat from a couple of thighs with some sweetcorn in a white sauce and topped with some grated cheese is lovely)

Macaroni cheese is quick and easy

Nigella's marmite pasta is lovely if you like marmite that is

    Yep , male :)

Thanks BB< I forgot sausage meals as I quite often pick them up cheap from supermarket then just slice and add to basic tomatoe and chilli mix for a quick cheap pasta dish

will have to look at rissoto as dont think I have made that for ages, might try macartoni cheese although prefer that with something else like broccoli added

never hear of marmite pasta although do sometimes have rice with marmite and a bit of cheese for a quick easy meal.
