so does anyone know why they are signing the reciepts for some people when using a voucher? when i spent my first voucher yesterday the cashier signed the new reciept im now worried about claiming on that receipt incase they wont accept in store when i show a receipt with a signature.
First - we should object if that happens, the receipt is your legal proof of purchase and must not by law be defaced by the vendor's employees.
Demand a duplicate.
Better - grab it before the employee has a chance to write on it or rip it.
State that it is not part of the T&Cs for the 2nd receipt to be signed and put it in your pocket.
Stand your ground if SA calls reinforcements and refer them to the T&Cs.
Second - use the receipt as proof when you encash your 2nd voucher. It doesn't matter if it has been signed, it has never been used before, it is not you trying it on ie trying to use a voucher twice.
Again, stand your ground and explain at what point it was signed.
If this fails, refer the case to CS by phone, Tesco are breaking their T&Cs and acting illegally.
CS should sort it out, otherwise Trading Standards/ Consumer Direct.0 -

I would be fuming if they did this to me. My hand is on the receipt machine as soon as it starts printing ready to grab it!0 -
