Just remember your intial outlay to actually get a voucher - bearing in mind you're paying way more at Tesco for these items anyway, it's not quite as cheap as it looks initially. I got happily carried away by the "OOOh they're paying me to take it away" before I realised that actually I'd done no more than get it down to Asda's prices over the two shops.
Include in that the fact that I had terrible problems with a large voucher and got accused of forging it (and was hauled off to the manager's office before I was able to prove it to them) and you may be better off sticking to smaller amounts.
Larger amounts will also only serve to get the whole thing stopped quicker.0 -

This is what I'm going to do for my shopping tomorrow, but I am going to buy what I need, that way I should see a real saving. Good luck!0 -

Thanks for that, very useful advice and well worth bearing in mind!
If people are seen to be abusing the system it will soon be stopped, like the Clubcard.....not that I was ever a fan of Clubcard, tried it once or twice but I was coming home with party poppers and paper plates that I had no use forBut, this could be very good for people if it's used correctly. Buying 20 bottles of Bombay Sapphire is going to raise a few eyebrows!!
Not having a go at anyone, just saying.0 -
Dove Pro Age Body Lotion 250ml etc £5.61 / £3 asda
Nivea For Women Pearl & Beauty Roll-on 50ml £2.03 / £1 asda0 -

No you're not just getting it as ASDA price, you got double the difference (DTD) so you're getting it at the difference again lower than the ASDA price.0 -
I've just had a couple of vouchers through and at the top of the breakdown page it says......
Sorry...
This time, your shop would have been £ 9.47 cheaper at ASDA so we'll give you a voucher for double the difference back!
I bought some things that were cheaper at Tesco's than at Asda.
Presumably the voucher price is the difference of the 'whole basket'?

just wondering do you get dtd for just one item, or the lot? if i bought 10 lets say nivea for woman roll on at £2.03 at tesco and it is £1 at asda. do i get dtd on all or just one?0

that's what happened to me.
i bought a reduced loaf of bread - as a result, tesco calculated the bread as being 90p more expensive in asda. lol
so yeah, it calculated the dtd based on the basket total.:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member

providing there are no offers on at tesco or asda, you should get £1.03 x 2 for all 10 items.:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member
