Sorry I didn't realise you were either the forum police or Tesco chief exec! Seriously why do people bother bleating on about dont abuse it, keep it low seriously why waste your breath? I'm not taking the pee out of it and many others aren't BUT you will ALWAYS get those who do so why waste your breath and clutter up the forum banging on about it NO ONE is going to change their mind and behave on the basis of people moaning about abusing it on here are they and belittling those who do is also against forum rules as well (not saying you have done this of course)
B'cos you can't access PTS:D thats how they posts their thread. Seriously though :- I agree with tbw :-
1) Whoever wanna return the stuff back ( yet wanna get the dtd) should keep it to themselves. Don't post anywhere.
Reason : We do have Tesco Management policing us ( it cud be you or me;)). keeping an eye of what we are posting/getting & put a stop to it. Do you ever wonder why previous posts mentioned something about the Manager/Supervisor been rude & refused dtd voucher(s)? That is b'cos we are feeding the troll...
2) Be nice to your Tesco Supervisor/ checkout cashier make friends with them if need be - it pays to be nice & you will never be treated badly ( I know 20% of the Supervisors/ Customer Services & 10% of the Cashiers & I only pay my stuff with the person I make friend with they are the one who will never ask you any question).
I know its wrong but its does not hurt to be nice. Some customer are rude too, so you have to understand why some of the old hag cashier are so unfriendly. ( :rotfl:as if I work for Tesco  those who knows me will know that I dont work for them )
3) If in doubt (even though we know we have the right to use the vouchers), why don't you show your dtd receipts & vouchers to the Checkout Supervisor before you shop - they can tell you instantly whether or not they will accept your voucher. This way you won't feel intimidated when you are paying.
I only do item 3 above when I shop at one of the Tesco that is not my regular store.
4) Reason why they are keeping your receipt (the high value) is because some people are abusing it meaning - used twice or maybe 3 times god knows - and that particular store has been targeted.
I intend to take advantage of Tesco as long as I can & most of us follows their T&C (except themselves):eek:RIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0 -

TIA
I think it would be Fairy non bio gel 667ml, they are £4.52 at Tesco, ASDA is 2 for £6. So you need to buy two, they would cost you £1.47 each after DTD.
I'm going to stock up today."Retail is for suckers"

I've tried to catch up on some of it this morning, including hearing the stories about very rude staff ( note to oneself, not to go into the larger store full of jobsworths and to only use my vouchers in smaller store;))
With reagrds tothe above quote i have to admit it thought i'd thanked him but obviously not, rectified now...:o0 -

Just been and spent 40p on my normal shop! Mad though because I was just under my £39 voucher amount so I grabbed an easter egg but could have got 2 more free!!! Never mind really pleased with the things I bought to get this voucher and not expecting much in the form of another DTD voucher as made use of all BOGOF's etc, apart from easter eggs!!
Thanks everyone, keep up the good work! Might go and get some Olay later, will be needing the anti-wrinkle with all the anxiety of thinking what to buy and will my voucher be accepted, lol!0 -

I'm going to have a rant.
Why, oh why, are people getting huge shops and paying with £180 worth of vouchers?? It is against their policy and is bound to wind them up. Why not be happy with smaller DTD.
If you are left with a shop which doesn't accept your voucher, you deserve all you get. And if you then buy more DTD, then any eagle eye assistant will get you next time around. Some people always spoil it for others.
Maybe people are getting huge shops because like me they shop rarely but buy a lot. I bought a large shop from Tescos on Sunday, got home and inputted the details and was surprised to receive a voucher for £172
What should I do, not spend the voucher because I am "abusing" the system? Tesco gave me the large voucher despite their own £100 guidance
Remember they are giving back some of the money I spent because they are dearer, not because anything I am doing wrong. If the limit is £100 then why issue large vouchers
Lastly Tesco made £105 per second last year, do you really think this will make any noticeable dent in that
Tescos staff are not silly, there would have been an allowance for people playing the system but they know that this will be more than accounted for by people going into their stores and buying things they did not know they wanted as well as buying the wrong items
The number of times people have said "I must have bought the wrong wine - never mind" so Tesco have made a lot of money just from these deals
Just my opinion for what it's worth, we are all different and moaning on here will not change peoples attitude, it just is not worth itOnly time will tell if I am right or they are wrong0 -
