Hi Quoia,
Could you please tell me how you got the NOTW with vouchers for free?
Thanks
Sorry for not replying sooner - missed your post due to the "can't see the wood for the trees" nature of this thread. Useful stuff easily gets lost amongst the nebulous flotsam and jetsam
Basically a VERY FRIENDLY NEWSAGENT that I see probably every weekend and sometimes during the week.
Papers left over when the shop closes for the day will be returned to the wholesaler the following morning. They basically just get trashed and recycled - if there is the odd page missing from the middle or a coupon torn out it doesn't matter for these returns.
Having said that, that was last weekend.
This weekend I didn't bother, since I don't think I'll be Tesco-ing until next month, BUT this morning I went to the bottle bank to dump some empties and sticking out of the paper bins just a few feet away were 2 copies of yesterday's NOTW.
And the £5 off £30 Co-op vouchers had not been removed - THEY HAVE NOW
(just in case)
I also get many of the FREE CDs & DVDs that are included inside the newspapers without having to purchase most of them.

I went to spend my second voucher today from my earlier shop with the insulting staff memeber I've already posted about and this time, it was another store. Till assisstant seemed very friendly but called over someone else who went to services manager and was told about the 24hr/12 hr thing and also told me my DTD voucher didn't seem right as it was higher than my reciept that it was for(only by a pound!). I told her because it was double the difference and Tesco have very high prices, this could happen.
she sent me to customer service desk and told the SA there to contact the helpdesk about this. He tried and was put through to different different departments all not knowing about the promotion and coming out with utter ****. One said that this has happened a lot (higher DTD than original reciept and they want a copy of it to investigate):eek::eek:
through all this finally he got through to someone that said don't accept it!:mad::mad: I had been standing there for nearly 40 mins now so was V.V.V angry as this was the 2nd time I've had a bad experience using a DTD voucher!
I told him to contact head office and I told the person on the phone to which he said accept it.
As I was running out of time (again) I told him about the fact that I'd been waiting so long for something that staff and helpdesk should know about. He said I'll have to take it up with manager and him so agreed to call him back later on. Just called and he has gone home, so will call tomorrow.
Do you think I'm jinxed with these DTD's???? Is insult and 40mins standing waiting worth it?
Also, shall I fire off a second e-mail to Phillip Green (have not even had a decent reply about the first!)
p.s my DTD was for £54.xx so I salute all you that are doing it pain free with higher amounts!
p.p.s List of reasons I was given for non acceptance:
1. 24hr/12 hr timing on reciept and DTD
2. Reciept value higher than DTD
3. Used a DTD in the reciept current DTD was for
4. If DTD is higher than reciept, could be something dodgy so CS want a copy to investigate and will take barcode number (they did do this!)
5. First time seeing a large amount so not sure (is £50.xx large compared to some on here??!?!)0 -

OK. Got a little carried away. Now have a £70 DTD voucher, but no idea what to get? Any tips? I don't need a new mobile phone or a new electrical item, and I have so many groceries, I don't think I will need any for a long time! Eeeeek. HELP!!0

Has anyone had trouble with the Tesco Price Check website. I have submitted three receipts over three week from my online tesco orders. Every time and about 5 days later I have received an email stating they could not find my details or order and to please re-submit. When I try to re-submit it doesn't allow me to and no one from the support team at Tesco has responded to my emails. I think they might be realising this was a bad idea as they are going to pay out so much more in refunds. I haven't tried a in store shopping receipt but wondered what other problems people have come across.
No refunds for me yet....they are still searching I hope.0 -

thats awful i have spent 2 now with no trouble, if i were you i'd be firing off a rather heated email to customer services now and i would definatly be phoning back to speak to the store manager
as for this well
1. 24hr/12 hr timing on reciept and DTD all vouchers are like liek this so they should know
2. Reciept value higher than DTD this is tesco's fault for being so expensive
3. Used a DTD in the reciept current DTD was for no where in the terms and conditions does it say you can't do this
4. If DTD is higher than reciept, could be something dodgy so CS want a copy to investigate and will take barcode number (they did do this!) any voucher 'could' be dodgy altho this will prob end up in the bin in a few days, either way aslong as your within your £100 i wouldn't worry
5. First time seeing a large amount so not sure again if they weren't so expensive you couldn't ahve got £54DEC GC £463.67/£450

Will call tomorrow and see what the customer service assisstant says and if I'm not happy will send an e-mail
