UPDATE ON DEALS

Lots of people are questioning whether to go shopping today especially when the price check website is not working - this includes myself!

Tesco want to play games with us; I want us to play back.

So I have a suggestion; tell me if it's a good one or a bad one.

That last update was yesterday at approximately 7.30pm: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=42104340&postcount=1983 But, we don't know how products have been updated in terms of price, NF etc.

So, if anyone did a shop yesterday AFTER 7.30pm, entered their receipt details after AND received their results today, could you please post them? Either copy and paste the email with the products that had good DTD or print screen and embed within your post.

That way, we know that these items will work 'til the next price check update (probably will be Monday).

Thank you!!

I did a shop yesterday evening but am awaiting my voucher... I'll update with full details when I have it :)

And I don't think we'll ever "know" any items will work unless the pricecheck is working and we shop the same day it is updated, but it's a good guide to what works ;)
If a post is helpful to you, please take a second to click "thanks", it makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside! :)

Heads up for anyone whose interested. I bought x10 Ariel Blue Gel (1litre) for £45.50 on Thurs and got a voucher today for £51. £4.55 in Tescos and £2 in Adsa, according to mysupermarket it's still the same price in both.

Yeah, got a couple of bottles of that so far myself. Usually use Vanish, so if it's rubbish, no money has been spent!

Anyway, going to the gym now so you moneysavers better not post too much whilst I'm away - I'll be too knackered to catch up!

Note to Tesco: get the Price Check up and running!

If an item is N/F or N/A and so hasn't been compared, is it OK to return that item, and how does one then pursuade the cashier/supervisor/manager, that you haven't returned something that is part of your DTD voucher?

I'm concerned over the Nivea Body Rich Moisturiser that is clearly the best item found yet in terms of free money (if it DTD's - one person says not, another said they got it). It costs £5.21 in T, but only £1 in A, so the DTD is a massive £8.42 or £3.21 in your pocket CASH.

I'd suggest printing the page that displays your shop where it tells you to click the line to get your voucher.

It should... so as usual that is your Tesco either a) being ignorant or b) making up their own rules.
Tesco accept "spend and save" vouchers from other major supermarkets. These are vouchers that say something along the lines of "£6 off your next £30 shop at Sainsburys" (Got one of those to spend by.... *checks voucher* eeek! today!)

Just had a reply from CS;

Thank you for your email and apologies for the delay in my response.

Furthermore, we're not aware of any problems with the price checker facility and everything appears to be working fine.

Please let me know what items you wanted to compare so that I can check these.

In the meantime, if you've any further queries please contact me at online@tesco.co.uk quoting XXXXXXXXXXX.

Kind Regards,

Now how can they say its not broken?!

EDIT: I have replied asking if they can look into it and get back to me concerning why the price checker is not working.....

I might e-mail CS. They say co-op is not a competitor...

If you don't like the Stain renover Gel, then you can send off your receipt (via https://www.ariel.co.uk) for your money back (AGAIN!!) LOL. :D
I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing! ;)

I was thinking this myself, but now the CS advisor has confused me, why offer to check a product for me? is that not just time consuming?
