LW - sounds like Mr LW needs to call them before you go in to check that everything is in.
Ironing finally done and put away. And there isn't enough washing (yet) to make up another load.0 -
Well I am back from my 4th  visit in less than 2 weeks to that which must not be mentioned!
Giltbrook? I was there at 10am. We have four lamps (don't ask) a steaming pan and some new scissors. We lost DS1 briefly, and they behaved so badly we didn't have a hot dog or go to Decathlon.
DS2 wrote everyones names in marker pen on his leg last night in case he forgot them (mum, dad, etc). Funny, but not as we have swimming lessons tomorrow.
I re-wired the plug and the steam press is working again, hurrah (go me). Dyson appears to be beyond recovery, and it isnt much more to buy a new one than to get it fixed. Tempted by a Miele though given the excess of animals. Uniforms, swimming kit and packed lunches to do then I am sloping off for a hot bath and a cup of tea.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
I*** on a SUNDAY?
Madness...I like it on a Friday night - so peaceful - as long as the M1 is on its best behaviour that is
dirty washing basket EMPTY
ironing baskets EMPTY
maiden EMPTY
it's ALL been washed, ironed and homed.:D:D:D:D
Two shepherds/cottage pies cooling - I makes 'em with turkey mince so dunno what they are - they are also chock full of carrots. (cos I knows shepherds is lamb mince so I deduce cottage is beef...took me YEARS to work it out though). One's for their tea tomorrow, one for the freezer.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Valli - 22 to 26 on a Friday night is never good, combined with small boys tired from the week at school *shudders*'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0

Have to say, Hex, I would never have done it when the kids were younger. But 29 to 26 isn't usually so bad, especially now the widening work's been completed. At 15 DD is perfectly capable of (a) accompanying me (b) hauling stuff to the car and (c) persuading me what to buy :rotfl: DS stays home;). I do refer to it as 'nipping' to I*** :rotfl:
Which reminds me - I have promised DD we'll 'nip' to Meadowhall theis weekend . Might make that an evening jaunt too
*wanders off to check for La Tasca vouchers*
29 to 26 refers to the relevant M1 Junctions NOT the ages of the Vallikids;)
ooo no vouchers...

We do Ikea Leeds.. during school.. drop off brats.. 1.15hr drive each way.. spend £300 kerching... couple of doghots and back in time to collect... unless the car in front has the entire wheel fly off across both carriageways and we have to stop in the middle lane and pull out into the inside lane with superfast traffic ... then we are 15 minutes late for school.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Hello
I'm looking for some inspiration/moral support to get my Spring Clean kick started and this looked like it might be a good place?
I work Mon-Fri, so would have to change around the days of the tasks as there doesn't seem to be anything for weekends - is that your 'me' time??Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -
