i-phone roaming

Hi,
I am just back from S America and recieved a text from vodaphone to call them as there were 'unusual usage' on my i-phone.
I discovered my phone had been 'roaming' while I was away!!
My bill stands at £1100. My highest bill to date was £60. Vodaphone only contacted me 2 weeks later after I had run up this huge bill. Can anyone advise me as to how to dispute this?
Jay

Why do you think you can dispute it? It was your phone... and it was roaming...

    Dispute what?

The fact that you were roaming or that you think they have applied the wrong tarriff?

If you didn't switch off your roaming data and didn't keep your usage to a minimum, I can easily see the bill being accurate.
  • I had a bill of £500 in NYC before I wised up, Orange were pretty good to be honest and agreed a small discount.

I was away for 5 days.

    Hi jackfancy

Thank you for posting about your most recent bill. I can see why this would come as a bit of a shock. So that we would be in a better position to advise, we would need to access your account.

If you can e-mail us via our Contact Us page, using WRT135 as the subject, include the link to this thread, and your dates of travel, we can then check the usage on your bill and then advise on the next step.

You can also find more information on costs abroad and what to check before you leave on our Travelling Abroad page for your future reference.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Many Thanks
