I have had a bill through saying my tax was not calculated correctly for 08-09 and I owe £1200 which needs to be paid by March 15th!
I have heard lots of people are getting these bills, what can I do? I have also been told lots of people are protesting them.

more information is required, was there a change of jobs in the year, did a pension start, did you take a second job.
what can you do ? check the calculation and if its correct and you can't afford to pay it in one go, phone HMRC ask for a hardship advisor and arrange a payment plan.
1200 would most likely mean your personal allowance was allocated twice at 2 different sources.He's not an accountant - he's a charlatan0
