ghd recycling?

Hi

Has anybody managed to recycle their old ghd straighteners? The 'on-off' button on mine has broken so they won't turn on and it'd be nice to get a little bit of money for them. I tried to use weeebuy but couldn't manage to register and have since read very bad reviews of their service. Has anybody used a different company and had a good experience?

Thanks

Gwenx

  • why don't you unscrew them (without the plug in) and have a look to see if it is just a loose wire?

    Worth a try!
  • Rather than go through the hassle of listing on ebay I found an ebay seller/buyer who has a set price structure for 'recycling' GHD's.

There was an 'info' listing for £1, when you purchase it he emails the address to send them to, he then refunds the original £1 and pays the set amount into your paypal account. I posted my faulty mk 3.1b GHD's on Monday and had received the promised £25 and £1 refund in my paypal account by today - Wednesday :T

I posted this a few months ago as was looking into selling my faulty GHD's on ebay but found a GHD recycler on ebay so did that instead, here is the listing: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300402188093&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
